MAGELANG, siedoo.com – The holding of the 2023 Budget Festival, which was held for the first time in the city of Magelang from February 28 to March 1, 2023, was appreciated by the mayor, dr. Muchamad Nour Aziz.

“I see this as extraordinary, I ordered it done within 7 days, at least the public generally knows what OPD will do,” he said.

The activity held at the Samapta Sports Hall of the Gelora Sanden complex was a breakthrough in the framework of transparency and accountability in the financial management of the regional government.

In addition, the public can directly provide contributions for better financial management in the future.

“It’s important here, the community gives their opinion, what benefits do you want to get out of it. Later, it will be entered through the RKM, and then it will be included in the modification budget,” Dr. Aziz added.

He hopes that this budget festival can become a model linked to transparency and accountability in the management of the state budget.

As known, no less than 45 tenants from OPD, sub-districts and several BUMDs of Magelang City presented the performance results of planning, management and budget accountability.

2023 Budget Festival Committee Chairperson Larsita revealed that the purpose and objective of this activity is to provide open and as broad as possible information to the public on the transparency and accountability of financial and budget achievements.

“The 2023 Budget Festival is an embodiment of nyawiji and the collaboration of all relevant stakeholders to make inputs, make suggestions, corrections, towards the realization of the implementation of the government’s financial performance of the city of Magelang,” Larsita said.

Furthermore, in the interests of improved management, budget planning needs to be more inclusive, accommodating, participatory and fair in the coming year.

The activities take place over two days, Tuesday February 28, 2023 and Wednesday March 1, 2023, from 08:00 to 15:00 WIB.
