Silmy explained that golden visa that will be launched is very important. He gave the example of several countries that are already using golden visa, such as Singapore and the United Arab Emirates.

“Why is it important because we want a lot of money to come into Indonesia through efforts to facilitate immigration. Like Singapore did, UAE did and other developed countries like Canada and America have done it,” he said.

“Actually, Singapore’s investment is around SGD 2 million, America’s is around $1 million, then for the business, it must also be $1 million. We take this reference , then we build it into a visa product that is given out directly for 10 years,” he continued.

Silmy said the UAE was a country that had successfully implemented it golden visa. His party is also ready to cooperate to increase the capacity of immigration officers in Indonesia.

“The United Arab Emirates is one of those who have successfully implemented policies golden visa and I personally met at the beginning of this month with the director general of immigration in the United Arab Emirates and also expressed his support for Indonesia and is ready to work together, in particular to exchange awareness as well as increasing the capacity of immigration officers in Indonesia,” he concluded.

He mentioned that more than 20 foreign investors have invested and will increase their investments in Bali. In addition to answering questions from foreign investors, Sandiaga also stressed that foreign investment must maintain local wisdom, as confirmed by Tabanan Sub-Regent, I Made Edi Wirawan and Turn around Puri Anyar Kerambitan.

“It was also according to the message of the Sub-Regent and Mr. Turn around Puri Anyar Kerambitan, Tri Hita Karana, Swadarma Leadership must remain, even if we are talking about global investment, local wisdom must remain,” he said.

According to him, investment guidelines should also be provided so that inward investment can create jobs and improve people’s well-being. “But this does not eliminate the cultural roots and customs of Bali itself,” he concluded.
