Indonesia sends 3 athletes to the Olympics for the police in Canada

Liputan6.com, Jakarta – The 2023 World Police and Fire Games will be held in Winnipeg, Canada from July 28 to August 6, 2023. Indonesia will also send three athletes to the Olympics for the police.

The Indonesian contingent at the 2023 World Police and Fire Games will be led by AKBP Ockben Sinaga, who is currently stationed at National Police Headquarters, Kabid Puspakam. Two other athletes coming to Canada are Bripda Teuku Tegar Abadi and Bripka Desjan Siallagan.

Ockben will compete in four events at once, namely the 100 meters, 200 meters, long jump and triple jump. Ockben fights in the master category considering he is already 54 years old. But the two juniors will fight in public due to their young age.

In Canada, Ockben is aiming to win a medal and make Indonesia proud. “I hope I can get a gold, silver or bronze medal,” Ockben said after training at Madya Senayan Stadium on Monday (22/5/2023).

Ockben is suspicious of athletes from Brazil and the United States when they compete in Canada. I would have lost the year,” Ockben continued.
