SURABAYA, DORRONLINENEWS.COM – Indonesian Navy Main Base Commander (Danlantamal) V First Admiral Eko Wahjono represented by Wadan Lantamal V Colonel Baedhowi Oktafidia hailed the arrival of the Canadian Navy warship, the Vessel Her Majesty’s Canadian (HMCS) Montreal (FFH 336) at Emerald Jetty in Tanjung Perak, Surabaya. Friday (07/07/2023).

The visit of the Canadian Navy warship to the city of heroes is an update of the international relations between the Indonesian Navy and the Canadian Navy which are always consistent and well maintained.

In his address, Danlantamal V, which was read by Wadan Lantamal V, welcomed and thanked the Canadian Defense Attaché, Colonel Stewart Taylor, as well as the Commanding Officer of HMCS Montreal, Commander Paul Mountford, CD and his crew who had come to visit Surabaya.

Danlantamal V hopes that with this visit, in the future, the cooperation and coordination between the two navies will improve and become even closer.

This Halifax-class frigate-type warship is 134 meters in length and carries up to 225 crew. They will dock at Jamrud Pier until Monday, July 10, 2023.

Also present were Deputy Commander of Lantamal V, Asops Danlantamal V Marine Colonel (P) Muhammad Taufik, Kakuwil Lantamal V Marine Colonel (S) Tidar Hary Nugroho, Kadisfaslan Lantamal V, Danyonmarhanlan V and other relevant officials. (Lantam Pen)
