One Championship: Angela Lee announces her retirement during One Fight Night 14

Liputan6.com, Jakarta- A surprising decision was made by famous MMA athlete Angela Lee during One Fight Night 14 which took place in Singapore, Saturday (30/9/2023). Angela has announced her retirement from mixed martial arts which had made a name for herself following the death of her 18-year-old sister.

The 27-year-old was sitting cageside watching One Fight Night 14 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. Angela then joins the commentary booth for the main event between Stamp Fairtex and Ham Seo-hee, who will fight for the interim championship belt.

Angela placed the belt on the canvas inside the Singapore Indoor Stadium Circle before the fight, during an interview with ONE commentator Mitch Chilson after the co-main event.

After Angela Lee’s shocking announcement, Fairtex’s fight title against Ham was upgraded to undisputed title.

Fairtex managed to win after winning by TKO against Ham in the third round. Fairtex is a true ONE champion in the MMA, Kickboxing and Muay Thai categories.

“I am here today to officially announce my resignation. I just want to say thank you to the fans, to ONE Championship, to Chatri [Sityodtong, ketua, ONE], to my team and to everyone. “There’s so much fighting in and out of the arena,” Angela Lee said.
