London (ANTARA News) – The Indonesian Embassy in Ottawa, Canada, participated in a global relay event organized by The International Sri Chinmoy Oneness, also known as “Peace Run”, bringing a message of peace to the North American region, from New York to Ottawa. , Canada.

On the occasion of the Peace Run in Ottawa, Ambassador Faizasyah highlighted Indonesia’s foreign policy which is based on eternal peace as stated in the preamble of the 1945 Indonesian Constitution.
“Efforts to achieve peace often take a long road, but it is something that can be achieved,” he said.
Ambassadors from other countries who attended the event included Switzerland, Costa Rica, South Africa, Australia, Zimbabwe, as well as dozens of other ambassadors who also delivered their respective messages regarding the idea of peace.
The Swiss ambassador said that Switzerland is a peace-loving country and adheres to a policy of neutrality. Not all representatives of foreign countries were invited to the event, only countries with peace concerns were invited.
Meanwhile, it was reported that the Peace Run organized by the international organization Sri Chinmoy Oneness took place in Bali and Solo. The organizer of the Peace Run, the Sri Chinmoy Oneness International Organization, said that in Solo they met Ms. Sujiatmi Notomiharjo, President Jokowi’s mother.
They were said to have been impressed by the reception during the peace run in Solo. Ms. Sujiatmi herself said she was very friendly and open to the idea of a peace race that would convey a special message about peace.
In Bali, the Sri Chinmoy Oneness International Organization awarded the Torchbearer Award to I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport as it is considered a place that can provide a sense of peace to visitors. It is claimed that Balinese traditions and culture as well as spiritual values provide a peaceful atmosphere for its residents.
In Indonesia, Peace Run activities not only organize activities related to the torch of peace, but also indirectly promote Indonesian tourism activities, including visiting various tourist attractions such as Borobudur.
The positive impression has led the international organization Sri Chinmoy Oneness to once again organize Peace Run activities for the Asia-Pacific region in Indonesia early next year.
