Jakarta, CNNIIndonesia —
In two weeks in February, the army united states of america (United States) shot down four mysterious objects in their Canadian and Canadian airspace. Why the apparitions “UFOs” in the US this is suddenly happening a lot and is it related to China?
The objects that the US military shot down are still a mystery. Only one object is known, namely a Chinese airship which is believed to function as a lookout.
The balloon was shot down off South Carolina on February 4. Previously, the US government tracked the balloon for several days as it flew through their airspace.
Apart from the ball, three other objects are unknown. However, all three were destroyed between February 9 and 12.
In its press release, the US government only said that the three objects were not as sophisticated as spy balloons. The three are also in flight at an altitude of 6000 and 12 thousand meters.
All three objects were shot down because they were flying in airspace used for commercial flights. As a result, there is a security risk if the three are left alone.
Reacting to the sudden appearance of a “UFO”, Boston University professor of international security Jack Weinstein said: “I think it started with the ball,” he said. Live science.
According to Weinstein, who is also a retired general, the US military has now found a way to track these objects.
There has been no confirmation from the US military about these objects. But allegedly, this object still has something to do with the Chinese reconnaissance balloon.
The reason is that, according to the White House National Security Council, China has been spying on the United States with hot air balloons since Donald Trump’s presidency. However, this activity could not be detected at that time.
Outside of these sightings, the US military has actually encountered Unidentified Flying Objects (UFOs) or Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAPs) hundreds of times. In an open US Department of Defense investigation, there were 366 reports of UAP sightings in 2022.
A total of 171 of them remain unresolved. The Pentagon has also formed an agency to investigate reports of UAP sightings by military personnel called the All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO).
According to AARO’s annual report, 163 of 366 reports the UAP case turned out to be the appearance of a balloon or balloon-like object. Meanwhile, another 26 reports turned out to be drone sightings.
Also, the other six are either birds or plastic bags. According to Weinstein, this is not surprising.
“I think if you were smart enough to travel to Earth from another planet, you definitely wouldn’t be caught,” Weinstein said.
