The rupee beats against the US dollar again

RM.id Free people – The Rupee sagged again this morning. The rupiah was perched at the level of IDR 14,964 to the US dollar or weakened by 0.22% from the previous trade of IDR 14,932.

Currencies in the Asian region also vary. The Japanese yen rose 0.20%, the Thai baht fell 0.22%, the Philippine peso rose 0.15%, the South Korean won fell 0.58% and the Chinese yuan rose. increased by 0.02%. The Singapore dollar fell 0.11% and the Hong Kong dollar remained flat.

The main currencies of developed countries have also collapsed. The European euro fell 0.10%, the pound sterling 0.14% and the Swiss franc 0.02%. Meanwhile, the Australian dollar weakened by 0.027% and the Canadian dollar by 0.14%.

Financial watcher Lukman Leong said the rupiah was under pressure due to the strengthening dollar and weak US economic data. Lukman estimates that the rupee will move between Rp 14,900 per US dollar and Rp 15,050 per US dollar.
