Exchange rate rupee opened at IDR 15,235 per US dollar on Tuesday (2/28) morning. The Garuda currency strengthened 35 points or more 0.23% from its previous position.
Meanwhile, the majority of currencies in the Asian region moved. The Chinese yuan rose 0.23% and the Malaysian ringgit strengthened 0.22%. Meanwhile, the Hong Kong dollar fell 0.02% and the Thai baht 0.01%.
Then, the Singapore dollar fell 0.06% and the Japanese yen fell 0.01%. Meanwhile, the Philippine peso strengthened by 0.35% and the South Korean won by 0.49%.
While the majority of the currencies of the main developed countries have strengthened. The European euro gained 0.01%, the Swiss franc 0.02%, the Australian dollar 0.13% and the Canadian dollar 0.01%. Meanwhile, the British pound weakened 0.01%.
DCFX analyst Lukman Leong believes the rupiah will strengthen this morning on falling US bond yields after durable goods orders data (durable goods) fell more than expected.
