Jakarta –
A nightmare experienced by visitors to a Canadian amusement park. The roller coaster they were on stopped when the passenger seat was pointed down.
Report of NPR Tuesday (26/9), the incident took place at the Wonderland amusement park Canada. The 22 meter high vehicle suddenly stopped upside down.
This roller coaster is shaped like a lumberjack with two axe-shaped sides. Visitors sit on axes and swing back and forth. The 360 degree movement is the most adrenaline test.
Both axes stopped at 10:40 p.m. local time. Amusement park officials tried to calm the ride’s passengers. He inquires about the visitor’s condition over the loudspeaker.
“Everything is fine?” asked the officer
“No!” » replied the visitors simultaneously.
This incident caused all the amusement park visitors to gather in the ride area. The visitors who were hanging upside down panicked, cried and screamed for help.
It’s unclear exactly how many visitors were trapped during the ride, but the roller coaster’s capacity is only 48 seats. Several passengers were seated opposite each other.
“This design allows visitors to interact with each other and witness the terror on their friends’ faces when they turn around,” writes the Wonderland website.
This description seems so real when the ride stops. A visitor who was not strong finally vomited upside down. Other visitors became increasingly panicked and hysterical.
After 30 minutes, the passengers on the ride were finally successfully evacuated. Two people were treated for chest pain while hanging upside down.
A Wonderland spokesperson did not reveal the cause of the sudden shutdown. They only said that the maintenance team would be deployed immediately.
