Zulhas accompanies Jokowi to the G20 summit in India, what was discussed?

Minister of Commerce Zulkifli Hasan (Zulhas) accompanied President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) to New Delhi, India, to attend the G20 summit which will last until Sunday.

“Yes, we want to go to the airport, follow, accompany, accompany the president to India for the G20 summit,” Zulhas said, Friday (8/9/2023).

Zulhas followed this up by recently visiting India to attend the G20 Trade and Investment Ministerial Meeting (TIMM) in Jaipur, India on Thursday, August 24-25, 2023.

“Earlier, I also attended a meeting between the Ministry of Commerce and Investment in Jaipur several weeks ago. Most of the agreements in the trade sector had been finalized. So today I was asked to accompany the president again to India for the G20 Summit,” he added.

India is hosting the G20 summit in New Delhi on September 9, 2023. The two-day summit will bring together several influential leaders of countries.

President Jokowi previously said the Indonesian government was committed to stability and peace, a commitment that would be expressed at the G20 summit.

“Tomorrow afternoon I am leaving for the G20 summit in India and what commitments we will make there. In my opinion, stability and peace are the keys to prosperity,” Jokowi said after the 43rd ASEAN Summit at JCC Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday (7). /9 ).

Jokowi believes that the world needs a safe place and that collaboration or cooperation should be a priority. Indonesia is also committed to expressing the interests of developing countries in inclusion and rights for the prosperity of their people.

“Regarding inclusiveness and rights for the well-being of the people, this includes industrial endorsement,” Jokowi continued.

The G20 is the leading forum for international economic cooperation made up of countries with major global economies. The members of the G20 are Australia, Argentina, Brazil, Canada, China, the European Union, France, India, Indonesia, Mexico, Japan, Italy, Saudi Arabia, Russia, South Africa, South Korea, Turkey, the United Kingdom and the United States.

Led by India, the G20 bloc focused on discussions on reforming the international debt architecture, regulation regarding cryptocurrencies and the impact of geopolitical uncertainty on security food and energy.
