Anthony Ginting eliminated from unseeded men's singles in semi-final

Jakarta: Anthony Sinisuka Ginting failed to defend the Indonesian men's singles sector's hopes of winning the 2024 Indonesia Masters title. This happened because he lost to Canadian representative Bryan Yang in the semi-final , Saturday January 27.

Appearing sixth on court 1 Istora Senayan, Jakarta, Ginting as the remaining men's singles at home lost with a score of 21-13, 17-21, 19-21 in 1 hour 19 minutes. In fact, he won the first game first and often took the lead in points in the deciding game.

This result is quite surprising because Ginting is superior on paper with its status as third seed and ranks 4th in the world. On the other hand, Bryan Yang is the unseeded participant who has always lost to Ginting in the previous three meetings.

Then, in the final round, on Sunday, January 28, Bryan Yang will face Denmark's Anders Antonsen, who advanced to the semi-finals by defeating Thai representative Kunlavut Vitidsarn.

Meanwhile, Indonesia secured a place in the final. Because in the men's doubles semi-finals which will begin soon, there will be a meeting between the defending champions Leo Rolly Carnando/Daniel Marthin and the third seeds Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto.
