Belgium officially announce their terrible squad for the 2022 World Cup

Belgian national team officially announced the composition of Qatar 2022 World Cup. The announcement was made by the Royal Belgian Football Association (KBVB) on Thursday (10/11).

“Finally the time has come. [Pelatih Belgia] Roberto Martinez has announced the 26 players he will bring to the World Cup in Qatar,” KBVB wrote.

Belgium’s 26-man squad for the 2022 World Cup is still adorned with old stars including Thibaut Courtois, Kevin De Bruyne, Eden Hazard and Romelu Lukaku.

Apart from the old faces, Belgium also called up a number of debutants namely Charles De Ketelaere, Amadou Onana, Lois Openda, Zeno Debast, Arthur Theate and Wout Faes.

Apart from this, Roberto Martinez has also groomed a number of names to become reserve players in anticipation of missing players ahead of the 2022 World Cup.

Reserve or reserve players for the Belgium national team are Bryan Heynen, Alexis Saelemaekers, Dodi Lukebakio and Jason Denayer.

The Qatar World Cup will start on November 20. Belgium are in Group F with Canada, Morocco and Croatia.

Belgium will play their first game against Canada on November 23. Next, Belgium will face Morocco on November 27 and the last game will be against Croatia on December 1.

Back: Alderweireld, Debast, Dendoncker, Faes, Theate, Vertonghen

Attackers: Batshuayi, De Ketelaere, Doku, E. Hazard, Lukaku, Mertens, Openda, Trossard
