Brian, who looks good at the Indonesia Masters, the coach becomes a topic of conversation

Jakarta: Canada's badminton players are in the spotlight at the Indonesia Masters 2024 event taking place from January 23 to 28 in Istora Senayan, Jakarta. Apparently, it was discovered that the coach of the underdog player was from Indonesia.

Brian Yang successfully made a name for himself among the public after showing his calmness while playing against Indonesian representative Anthony Sinisuka Ginting and Danish representative Anders Antonsen.

Behind this feat, it turns out that the role of the Indonesian coach was the one who created Brian's ruthless game.
Coach Brian Yang's figure is Setyaldi Putra Wibowo, a former PBSI national training athlete who also trained at the Cipayung National Training Center. Quoted from various sources, it turns out that Setyaldi has been training these players for a year. Additionally, the Indonesian coach also expressed the challenges in Canada.

“I had a lot of challenges there. The first is of course the weather because it is difficult to train outdoors, unlike in Asia. “Then there is not as much fighting as in Indonesia,” Setyaldi said.

Apart from that, Setyaldi also talked about the game of Ginting, who is one of the athletes trained by the Cipayung National Training Center. He claimed he felt satisfied being able to beat his friend.

“Alhamdulillah, satisfied. Ginting is also my friend. There is also pity and joy. “But how can you call a match,” he continued.

Although it brought success to Brian Yang, ranked 24th in the world, Setyaldi said he wanted to return to Indonesia.

“The desire is definitely there. There must be hope, of course I want it. “Even if I go everywhere, if there is an offer in Indonesia and Pelatnas, I will definitely want it,” he concluded. (Jennifer Carorine Gouw)
