Canada calls for Indonesia’s support at FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023

World Basketball News: The Canadian National Team is asking for the support of the Indonesian people so they can perform optimally at the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023. They will be one of the first countries to come to Indonesia.

FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 LOC Communications Director Yudha Permana says Canada will travel to Indonesia on August 20 at around 11:00 a.m. WIB. Canada will fly directly from Spain after testing there. There is another reason why Canada arrived first in Indonesia. They will participate in several events to ask for the support of Indonesian citizens.

“So Canada wants to get the support of Indonesian citizens. They are coming early so they can hold events here. On Monday or Tuesday they will hold a fan meeting in Gandaria. We are open to events like that. The fact is that we will support the events. This is a historic moment, the first in Indonesia, and it is not certain that it will be here in 10-20 years,” Yudha Permana said in an interview with local media. .

Canada itself is one of the best countries that will participate in the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023. Several names of NBA players will participate in the competition such as SGA (Oklahoma City Thunder), RJ Barrett (New York Knicks), Dillons Brooks (Houston Rockets), Luguentz Dort (Oklahoma City Thunder), Kelly Olynyk (Utah Jazz), Dwight Powell (Dallas Mavericks) and Nickeil Alexander-Walker (Minnesota Timberwolves).
