Car Explosion Occurs at Canada-US Border, FBI Waiting at Entrance

A car exploded at a border crossing the united states of america (United States)-Canada. Two people were reportedly killed in the incident.

Reported AFP, Thursday (11/23/2023), the explosion occurred on Wednesday (11/22), local time. The car exploded at the main Rainbow Bridge intersection near Niagara Falls. The White House has admitted that President Joe Biden received a briefing regarding the car explosion at the border.

Meanwhile, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said the incident was a very serious situation. Trudeau also announced the closure of four border crossings on the American and Canadian borders.

The FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force also intervened. FBI on standby to monitor all entry points into the border area.

The car that exploded was believed to have been carrying two people. Mike Guenther, a Canadian visiting the United States, described a dramatic high-speed crash at a checkpoint.

“We saw this car coming down toward the border and it’s flying over 100 miles an hour,” he told CBS News.

This eyewitness said the car hit the border fence and was thrown into the air.

“It went up into the air and we just saw a ball of fire and that’s all we could see. It was covered in smoke everywhere,” he said.
