The German basketball players completed their qualification for the World Cup with their tenth success in the twelfth match as group leaders. In a narrow ‘final’ for the D-season top spot, national coach Gordon Herbert’s side won in Espoo on Monday night (27 February 2023) with a score of 87:81 (46:43) against the Finnish hosts.

The knockout stage and the final of the World Cup will take place in the Philippines.

FIBA would only like to announce the details of the draw procedure once qualification is complete. It is certain that the USA favorite will follow the knockout round in the Philippines.
