The Apurva Kempinski Bali Hotel is now in the spotlight. This 5-star hotel will host the G20 summit in Indonesia on November 15-16, 2022.

At the Apurva Kempinski Bali hotel, the leaders of the G20 member countries met. There’s US President Joe Biden, Chinese President Xi Jinping, British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and other country leaders.

This luxury hotel located in Nusa Dua, Bali itself stands on the cliffs of Nusa Dua with breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean and tropical gardens.

So, who owns the Apurva Kempinski Bali Hotel?

Launched from Indonesia Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) official website, Wednesday (16/11/2022), the owner of Apurva Kempinski Bali Hotel is William Katuari who is also the Chairman and CEO of Wings Group.

This man with the full name Eddy William Katuari is indeed known as an Indonesian tycoon. In 2021, he was on the Forbes list of the 50 richest people in Indonesia with assets of US$1.1 billion or approximately 17.1 trillion rupees (exchange rate 15,622 rupees).

It is known that William Katuari became president of Wings Group after the death of his father in 2004. Wings Group itself was established in 1948 and was founded by Harjo Sutanto and Ferdinand Katuari, father of Eddy William Katuari.

Wings Group is a company that produces household necessities, consumer goods and health products. Wings Group produces dabbing soap, detergent and instant noodles.

The Apurva Kempinski Bali is the first Kempinski property in Bali and the second in Indonesia. Set on 14 hectares of land, this hotel has 475 rooms, 8 restaurants and bars, including Bali’s first aquarium restaurant. In addition, Apurva Kempinski Bali also has luxury spa facilities, a fitness center and a swimming pool.
