Men’s singles contemporaries with Jonatan Christie and Anthony Sinisuka Ginting are now coaching in Canada.

Ihsan Maulana Mustofa was included in the national PBSI formation and became one of the pillars of Indonesia.

He was ranked 17th in the world before deciding to retire from PBSI national training in October 2019.

The man born on November 18, 1995 has taken part in international tournaments with independent status on several occasions after leaving the national team.

However, now his name has rarely appeared. He then founded a club in Indonesia.

Moreover, he is also said to have coached clubs in various countries like Singapore and currently in Canada.

The news of Ihsan Maulana Mustofa becoming a club coach in Canada came from his colleague, Ghaida Nurul Ghaniyu.

Both Ghaida and Ihsan are trustworthy coaches at a Canadian club called CST Badminton Club.

“He (Ihsan Maulana Mustofa) knew me when I was very young, maybe in elementary school,” Ghaida Nurul wrote on her personal Instagram account.

“In short, I joined Djarum Badminton Club by auditioning in 2011,” he said.

“I just got to know him there and basically he’s my senior. Until I joined the PBSI National Training Center in 2016 when he had been there for a long time since 2012.”

“So we interacted and that’s when we talked about future coaching careers and now finally we’re working together as coaches in Canada (CST Badminton Club),” he said. .

“It’s something I’m grateful for and I hope we can work together as a team, have a good impact and be useful to others as badminton athletes,” he wrote on @ gahidaghaniyu.

Bring the family to Canada

Ihsan Maulana Mustofa’s desire to become a coach in Canada is not shy.

He brought his wife and children to live in Canada to focus more on training.

The Tasikmalaya-born man did not share his condition and his family in Canada via his personal Instagram account.
