List of national teams participating in the 2023 Sudirman Cup

Qualification Sudirman Cup 2023 on all continents was over. Here is a list of national teams participating in the 2023 Sudirman Cup.

The championships of each continent are the qualifying events for the Sudirman Cup 2023. The 16 teams selected have already held tickets for the mixed team championship.

Both Asia and Europe have four continental championship runners-up. From Europe, Denmark, France, England and Germany were the representatives who qualified for the 2023 Sudirman Cup.

In the final round of the European Championship, Denmark emerged victorious after beating France 3-2. Viktor Axelsen, Line Chrisopjersen and Maiken Fruergaard/Sara Thygesen provided points for Denmark.

Meanwhile in Asia, four tickets belong to South Korea, India and Thailand. China already holds the ticket due to its status as hosts, so the place in the continental championship belongs to Japan, which occupies the best position compared to the other teams that lost in the quarter-finals.

The Asian Championship aka BAMTC 2023 itself was won by China. China beat Korea 3-1 in the final round.

From Pan America 2023, Canada is the passing representative. Canada beat the United States with a crushing score of 3-0.

Meanwhile in Africa, Egypt managed to emerge as champions and qualify for the Sudirman Cup. Egypt won 3-2 against Mauritius after being down 0-2 earlier.

From the Oceania zone, Australia is the best team in the qualifier that adheres to a round robin system. Australia have won six games in six matches played.

While the other four slots are rank-based slots. This path was then obtained by Indonesia to qualify for the 2023 Sudirman Cup.

Based on the BWF rankings, Indonesia is in fourth place, the best among the teams that did not qualify during the competition on each continent.

Apart from Indonesia, the other teams that made it through the rankings were Malaysia, Taiwan and Singapore.

The 2023 Sudirman Cup is scheduled to take place in Suzhou, May 14-21.
