France will challenge Uzbekistan in the quarter-finals of the U-17 World Cup to be held at the Manahan Stadium in Solo, Central Java, Saturday (11/25).

“The Uzbekistan national team is a tough team. They have a good mentality. The players also work hard. It will be a difficult opponent to face. We have to find a solution,” said the national team coach Frenchman Jean Luc Michel Vannuchi, while leading the team’s practice at Sriwaru Field, solo, on Friday evening.

According to him, Uzbekistan can defeat Canada, then draw against Spain. Then, in the round of 16, they won against England. “It will therefore be a major challenge for France,” declared Jean Luc Michel Vannuchi.

Jean Luc added that Uzbekistan are a very difficult team to face. They are a compact team and when they manage to win the ball, they can attack very quickly.

Jean also hopes that his team can win without a penalty shootout, as a penalty shootout can stress out the players.
