“During a trip to Bandung with President Jokowi aboard the Whoosh EHang fast train, I expressed my support for IKN’s plan to build a modern, electric and pollution-free transportation ecosystem as the future mode of transportation. This is in line with the president’s wishes regarding futuristic transportation for IKN,” Bamsoet said, quoted on the official website of the MPR RI.
The General President of the Indonesian Motorcyclists Association (IMI) even explained the specifications of the EHang 216 and its various advantages directly to President Joko Widodo during a conversation in the Whoosh wagon.
“The EHang 216 autonomous aerial vehicle, God willing, is very ready to be used directly in IKN and throughout Indonesia as a mode of transportation. “This sophisticated vehicle is 100% electric, so it is environmentally friendly and has been used in various parts of the world, not only for cargo but also for passengers,” explained Bamsoet.
Previously, President Joko Widodo attempted to sit directly in the cabin of the “flying taxi” with great enthusiasm with Prestige Aviation Executive Chairman Rudy Salim at the Hub Space x KAI Expo on Friday ( 29/9). Rudy Salim said that urban air mobility is the future of Indonesian transportation.
“We can make the best contribution to this country. We are ready to invest and also test flights in IKN, like EHang, which has successfully transported passengers to several countries, including the Netherlands, Austria and the China,” Rudy said.

The EHang 216 is a 100% electric and environmentally friendly aerial vehicle, equipped with 16 propellers and 8 foldable arms. As for its flight capacity, it can reach a height of 3,000 meters, it can travel 35 kilometers in just 21 minutes with a maximum load of 230 kg (2 passengers).
