“A 21-year-old student has died from fatal injuries sustained in an emergency situation,” Skydive wrote.

“When a skydiver releases the main parachute, it spins rapidly at low altitude without the time/altitude required for the backup parachute to deploy,” Skydive Toronto wrote.

According to the company, Tanya is a college student who recently joined the skydiving community.
