UNISMUH.AC.ID, OS – The Community Service Team (PKM) of Muhammadiyah University (Unismuh) Makassar organized a Smart Politics course activity for Santri at MA Ma’had Hadits Al-Junaidiyah Biru, Bone Regency, Thursday, September 21, 2023.
This PKM-PM activity was guided by Mr. Muhammad Randhy Akbar, S.IP., M.Sc. from the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences
Chair of the PKM-PM Team for the Smart Politics Class of Unismuh Makassar, Yuliana presented the third paper focused on discussing the pathology of general elections. This third material reveals the evils of the general election, including white class and money politics.
The Smart Politics Course team hopes that Gen Z students and first-time voters can avoid the onset of general electoral pathology, in this case money politics and abstention. This material is the third material we present in the Smart Politics course. We chose this one. electoral pathology material because for first-time voters, they will be easily exposed to the politics of money or abstention.
“So, as a first anticipation for the elections to be democratic, this activity educates novice voters to understand this disease or pathology so that they can then avoid it and also provide education to other people,” he said. he declares.
Meanwhile, one of the class 12 social science students, Alim Anugrah, who took the smart politics course, said that the material this time was extraordinary because we just found out that there is pathologies in the electoral system such as white groups and money politics.
“Students believe this is something we need to know before voting in the 2024 general election. Smart political activities in the classroom are also activities that inspire us to be more enthusiastic about participating in the party of the “popular presidential election,” he said.
