The post claiming video of China destroying a mosque in Ethiopia shows a photo of a number of people sitting in front of a building and minaret. The video then continues with footage of the collapse of a green tower which several people witnessed. The following video shows a number of people on the street.

In the video there is a narrative written as follows.

The Ethiopian government has started demolishing many mosques in recent days

they demolished more than 20 mosques in Ethiopia

As in China, Muslims there also protect their mosques.

But the protest action they carried out was not well received by local authorities.

They were shot with tear gas to keep them away from the mosque they wanted to protect.

The destruction of these mosques was because the government wanted to build a new city.

A new city called Sheger City will be built on the outskirts of the capital Addis Ababa, where thousands of houses are occupied.

The Ethiopian government immediately destroyed all the houses and mosques there and left thousands of people homeless.

Even though some houses and mosques had been there for over a decade and had complete documentation, they were still all destroyed.
