What will the 2023 ASEAN Summit discuss? The activities of the 43rd ASEAN Summit (Summit) in 2024 will be held in Jakarta. This year’s summit will take place September 5-7, 2023.

President Jokowi will lead 12 meetings during the 2023 ASEAN Summit. Below is full information about the 2023 ASEAN Summit in Jakarta.

The 43rd ASEAN Summit 2023 will be held at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) from September 5 to 7, 2023. According to its official website, the ASEAN Summit 2023 will discuss the development and strengthening of international cooperation. ‘ASEAN with external partners.

Meanwhile, the theme of the 43rd ASEAN Summit is “ASEAN, the Epicenter of Growth”. This theme will constitute the main discussion and will generate a number of other more specific and detailed discussions.

Through this theme, Indonesia is determined to lead ASEAN cooperation in 2024 to pursue and strengthen ASEAN’s relevance in responding to regional and global challenges, as well as to strengthen ASEAN’s position in as a center of regional economic growth, for the prosperity of the people of ASEAN.

Apart from that, this theme also conveys four great spirits during the ASEAN Summit 2023 in Jakarta. Meanwhile, the four points that become the main spirit include:

1. The importance of establishing a long-term vision for the region, and Indonesia will ensure this when the event takes place on September 5-7, 2023.
2. Building ASEAN’s resilience to the challenges of our time.
3. Encourage ASEAN as a center of economic growth. Indonesia will highlight the strengthening of food security in the region as an important element.
4. Make the Indo-Pacific a safe and peaceful region. To achieve this goal, Indonesia will lead member countries to promote the ASEAN Indo-Pacific Outlook (AOIP) to ASEAN partners during the summit.

Remarks:

The Government of the Republic of Indonesia will host the ASEAN – Indo-Pacific Forum: AOIP Implementation (AIPF) on September 5-6, 2023, at Mulia Senayan Hotel. The AIPF will offer round tables, talk shows, project exhibitions and business meetings.

The meeting will address the following topics: developing green infrastructure and resilient supply chains; sustainable and innovative financing; inclusive digital transformation and creative economy. Leaders of ASEAN member states and dialogue partners are also expected to speak at the forum.

• The 43rd ASEAN Summit and Associate Program will tentatively be held on September 6, 2023.

ASEAN Business and Investment Summit 2023

• Dates: September 1 to 6, 2023

The 2023 ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ASEAN-BAC) will organize the 2023 ASEAN Business and Investment Summit or the 2023 ASEAN Business and Investment Summit with the theme Centrality of ASEAN: Innovating towards greater inclusion.
