Elon Musk grants amnesty, blocked Twitter accounts can be opened next week

Bisnis.comJAKARTA – Billionaire Elon Musk holds a new breakthrough by providing amnesty for permanently blocked Twitter accounts next week.

reported from Bloomberg On Friday (25/11/2022), amnesty was granted by Elon Musk after he organized a poll on his personal Twitter account on Wednesday.

Elon Musk created a tweet asking respondents for their thoughts on what Twitter would do with the accounts of users who were suspended for engaging in spamming.

In response to the poll conducted by the new owners of Twitter, about 72% of respondents voted for a “blanket amnesty” for suspended accounts.

“The people have spoken, the amnesty begins next week. The voice of the people, the voice of God”, tweeted Elon Musk on his Twitter account, Thursday 24/11/2022.

Before the new policy was implemented, Elon Musk had also reactivated a number of accounts, including former President Donald Trump, satirical Christian news website Babylon Bee and Canadian self-help author Jordan Peterson.

While Musk previously said there would be no recourse until a content moderation board is created, he accused activist groups of violating agreements reached with the board.
