Flying skateboard record set in Canada

Jakarta, CNN Indonesia — Technological devices present in science fiction films have inspired many scientists to develop similar technology so that they can be used in the future. This time it was the glider's turn to fly (hoverboard) like in the movie Back to the Future II which is trying to be developed.

Canadian inventor Catalin Alexandru Duru has set a new record for a flying glider capable of soaring 1,000 feet above Quareau Lake in Quebec, Canada.

He calls this device a “real hoverboard.” Duru wanted to show how his device could fly stably and be controlled with his feet. “This prototype device can be used anywhere. But it was deliberately tested on water to see how high it could fly?” Said Duru.

This device is equipped with a propeller under the board and can be controlled according to human balance. The sound of the propeller is very clear.

To beat this record, Duru had to cover a minimum distance of 50 meters with his hoverboard. In fact, Duru was able to surpass this distance and set a record for the longest hoverboard flight with a distance of 275.9 meters.
