Indonesia send their best force against Thailand in Sudirman Cup 2023

SUZHOU – Armand Darmadji, manager of the Indonesian badminton team, has revealed that his team will field their best squad in the game against Thailand in the last match of Group B Sudirman Cup 2023 . In order to win the group, players are asked to perform at their best and fight to win.

The red-white team will face a crucial match against Thailand which will determine the Group B winner of the 2023 Sudirman Cup. This match is scheduled to take place at the Suzhou Olympic Center, Suzhou, China on Thursday (18/5/2023) at 09:00 WIB.

Both teams have won their first two matches in the group stage, so they are currently competing for the top spot in Group B. Indonesia managed to beat Canada 5-0 and Germany with a score of 4-1. Meanwhile, Thailand managed to beat Germany and Canada by the same score, namely 4-1.

Therefore, Darmadji revealed that Team Garuda would fall head-on against Thailand. Fajar Alfian and his colleagues were asked to play with totality as in the final match, with the aim of achieving the goal of winning the group.

“Against Thailand, we will field our best strength. I ask all players to play their best and treat this match as a final,” Armand said in a PBSI statement on Wednesday (5/17/ 2023).

Moreover, Armand added that the first two victories against Canada and Germany had a positive impact on the morale of the players of the Red-White team. He hopes that enthusiasm will carry over to the game against Thailand tomorrow.

“I see a very positive team spirit. I hope that spirit will continue when we face Thailand in the last game of the group stage,” Armand said.

“There must be a hard fight, unwavering enthusiasm and great enthusiasm against Thailand. The players certainly know their respective duties to play optimally and bring points,” he added.

In order to achieve the expected optimal results, the Red-White team is very focused and serious in its preparation. On Wednesday (5/17/2023) afternoon local time, the players trained at the training hall of the Suzhou Olympic Sports Center in Suzhou. This three-hour training was the last preparation before facing the decisive match against Thailand, and every effort was made to the maximum.
