Local police suspect McArthur of hiding some of his victims' mutilated bodies in large flower pots in homes and properties that had used his services as a landscaper. Toronto police have identified more than 30 properties that used McArthur's services. Police are encouraging owners to provide them with information.
As reported by local Canadian media, globalnews.ca, Toronto police initially found three unidentified and mutilated human bodies in a large number of plant pots in a home in the Mallory Crescent neighborhood in Toronto's east end. Sources said globalnews.ca that three torso parts and a number of other body parts were found in the large plant pots.

This week, Toronto police once again confiscated a number of potted plants from three different homes in and around the Toronto area.

Toronto police named McArthur a serial killer. β€œHe is a serial killer, a suspected serial killer,” Idsinga said in his statement. “The city of Toronto has never seen anything like this. Everything has been exposed, everything we had. I call this an unprecedented type of investigation,” he added.

The five victims were identified as Majeed Kayhan (58), Dean Lisowick (47), Soroush Mahmudi (50), Selim Esen (44) and Andrew Kinsman (49).

Mentioned CNN that Kayhan has been missing since October 2012, while Lisowick was never missing but is believed to have been murdered between May 2016 and July 2017. Meanwhile, Mahmudi has been missing since August 2015, Esen has been missing since April 2017 and Kisnman was last seen. in June 2017.

Police investigators initially believed McArthur's victims were from “Gay Village”, a Toronto neighborhood with a large homosexual population. However, new evidence has been discovered that refutes this hypothesis. “The last two victims do not fit the profile of the previous victims. It covers a broader spectrum of the gay community. It covers the entire city of Toronto,” Idsinga said.

McArthur will begin his trial on February 14.
