Badung – Canadian citizen (WN) Mohamed Reda Della entered Indonesia on an investor visa. The 31-year-old entered Indonesia in June 2021 as a real estate investor.

Head of the Immigration Enforcement Intelligence Division (Inteldakim) of the Ngurah Rai Immigration Office, Gilang Danurdara, said that Reda lives on the Island of the Gods with a limited residence permit card ( Kitas) of investor. “Entering Indonesia for investment purposes,” he told Badung Police, Monday (12/6/2023).

Gilang explained that Reda had overstayed in Indonesia, a.k.a. extended stay. His residence permit expires on June 11, 2023.

Badung police, Gilang continued, recommended that Reda be deported. “After that, we will carry out a series of examinations, after which we will plan the expulsion,” he said.

Badung Police revealed the motive why the Icebreaker Land man got angry and brandished a knife at a number of people in front of Naty’s Restaurant, Kerobokan Kelod, North Kuta District, Badung , early Saturday morning.

“Because the vending machine was lost in one of the entertainment venues, the person concerned was angry. He saw a lot of people, he was scared, as if he thought someone had taken it , so he got angry. He was drunk at that time,” explained Badung Police Chief, AKBP, Teguh Priyo Wasono.

Teguh said Reda got the knife where he was staying at a villa in Tibubeneng, Badung, and then he took the item with him on a trip, placing it under the seat of the motorcycle. However, when he was arrested, police did not find the knife because Reda had thrown away the toy knife.

“He (Reda) said that at that point he forgot where he threw it because he was very drunk,” Teguh said.
