The queue of spectators had been snaking in front of Hall D2 since 8:30 p.m. WIB. The committee seemed a little overwhelmed by managing the thousands of spectators who had prepared. Daniel Caesar, real name Ashton Simmonds, was born in Canada in April 1995. He is active in music and has been releasing songs independently since 2015. Freudianhis first studio album was released last year.
With a touch of contemporary music and a very young age, Daniel represents the new generation of Java Jazz audiences. While several other scenes offer nostalgic themes of classic songs, Daniel offers new material.
The Java Jazz Festival 2018 still takes place today, Sunday March 4. Lauv and the Goo Goo Dolls were the headliners.
