Jakarta (ANTARA) – President Joko Widodo seemed surprised to meet Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s eldest son, Xavier Trudeau, who is already very tall.

The meeting took place on Wednesday evening during the gala dinner of the 43rd ASEAN Summit (KTT) at the urban forest in Gelora Bung Karno area, Jakarta.

On this occasion, Prime Minister Trudeau invited his son Xavier. Both appeared to be wearing batik shirts.

The two were greeted by President and First Lady Iriana Joko Widodo at the entrance where a red carpet was rolled out to the dinner venue.

When he saw Xavier’s presence, President Jokowi’s expression seemed surprised and he raised his hand as if to measure Xavier’s height, then appeared to ask the Canadian Prime Minister a question.

They then shook hands and had a photoshoot together.

The President and First Lady looked compact wearing traditional Betawi clothing, while the Vice President wore a long-sleeved batik and the Vice President’s wife wore a blue kebaya dress.

The 43rd ASEAN Summit Dinner will be attractively presented with dance performances.
