JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – A number of cars randomly parked on the shoulder of Jalan Cikini Raya in Central Jakarta on Friday (7/7/2023) evening.

Kompas.com observed that the cars were parked on the left side of Jalan Cikini Raya, which leads to Cikini station. Precisely opposite Holland Bakery.

At least there are more than 10 cars parked on the shoulder of the road eating away at the bike path. There are also cars parked on the sidewalk.

Due to this blind parking, the traffic flow from Menteng Huise to Cikini Station became congested.

Indeed, it is not uncommon for vehicles to line up for several tens of meters when a car wants to park on the shoulder of the road.

There was no officer, neither Polantas, nor Satpol PP, nor the Transport Office on duty there.

Only saw a number of parking attendants. They are very active in offering passing motorists to park their cars on the shoulder of the road.

“Park Lucy, Camden,” shouted the parking attendants, raising their index fingers.

One of the parking attendants revealed that the randomly parked cars belonged to nearby nightclubs, namely Lucy In the Sky and Camden Bar Cikini.

According to them, the parking area for night entertainment was not sufficient for many four-wheeled vehicles.

Therefore, visitors are forced to park it on the shoulder of the road with a valet system.

“It’s okay, it’s just weekend nights,” he said.
